Blogger is acting up??

The last two days, I haven't been able to access my blog. Whenever I make my way over here, my web browser crashes. Safari and Firefox. Maybe it's hacked? Maybe not? I'm not sure.

I think it's time I create a new and improved blog. Step outside the realm of Blogger's safety zone and design my own site. Here it goes. News to follow in a bit.

For the time being, You can find me on Facebook.

iTunes

Listeners of the Killers also listen to Nickleback and All-American Rejects.

Don't excite yourself too soon for the latest Killers record. It will probably disappoint like lottery tickets.

Come By On Sunday

Stop by here on Sunday around 9pm, and you'll see something new that you probably haven't seen before. You'll see it catch on here first.

Charles Bukowski

On my 30 minute lunch breaks at the Starbucks, I walk over to B&N, pick up a book and sit in the cafe for 20 minutes reading something new. This, lately has been my favorite part about going into work.

For the last week I've read poetry by Bukowski, and I can not get enough.

Choke Can Go Choke Itself

I am waiting out a very slow week for Friday to arrive.

On Friday, I'm a camera operator for a three day conference downtown and I'm refinishing a dresser (sand, paint) in our parking lot. But the best thing this Friday brings, is CHOKE.

No, I'm not looking forward to seeing this movie. It looks awful. I can't wait until they pull the previews and ads from the internet and television. Man, it's annoying.

However, Blindness looks awesome!

February, if you had any balls you'd be three days longer - Stephen Colbert.

I really enjoy The Colbert Report. Here are a few Stephen quotes to make you laugh.

-The Colbert Report's terror level has been elevated to brown, somebody spilled coffee on the chart...

-Knock Knock, Who's there? The Truth. No joke.

-No animals were harmed in the recording of this episode. We tried but that damn monkey was just too fast.

-Anyone can read the news to you. I promise to feel the news at you.

-There's nothing wrong with being gay. I have plenty of friends that are going to hell.

-You don't support the President? Maybe you don't belong in America.

-You see, we're America the Beautiful, not America "Well, At Least She Has A Great Personality."

-I dare say Gore's movie is the highest grossing PowerPoint presentation in history.

-You want the truth? You can't handle the truth! But I've got oven mits.

-There's nothing wrong with stretching the Truth. We stretch taffy, and that just makes it more delicious.

-Some say, "Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it". I say, "Those who ignore history are in for a big surprise."

-As God said to Job, Checkmate.

-When I think about Truth, I touch myself...

-And of course I don't go anywhere without my pet goldfish, Anthrax. I always tell security I'm carrying Anthrax. Yeah, sure I get a lot of guff about it, but it's a family name; I'm not changing it!

-Do they GIVE a Nobel Prize for throwing your own feces?

-Move over Oprah you fat bitch, tonight every member of my audience receives a priceless gift... the Truth.

Spotted. Joel Coen At The Mall Of America.

I just ran into Joel not 45 minutes ago! I mean, I was within two feet of this man.

They're in the middle of shooting "A Serious Man" which takes place in the Twin Cities. It was raining earlier and my guess is they had to wait out the rain with coffee and lunch (or rides).

Brian Eno - 77 Million Paintings, Interview

The Walkmen's Latest Is Their Greatest

What a perfect song.

"In The New Year"

I know that it's true
It's gonna be a good year
Out of the darkness
And into the fire
I'll tell you I love you
And my hearts in the strangest place
That's how it started
And that's how it ends

Could It Really Be Better Then The O.C.? Could It?

Anna and I watched the first season of Gossip Girl in three days.

For those who have seen The O.C.. And if you are annoyed with Marisa when she encounters conflict and her reaction is to say literally one line of dialogue then exit the scene, do I have a show for you. Gossip Girl.

Sarina is the Marisa character of Gossip Girl. And it's a relief when you see her use logic to confront most of the conflict in her life. Conflict with her past and with her boyfriend Dan.

Season One doesn't end like the first two season of The O.C.. However, the eighth or ninth episode of GG is OC season two quality. It's amazing. And we love it.

No Movie Ending Is Complete Without A Dove Flying Out Of The Hands Of The Villain Near His Death. The New Fetal Position.

I watched Blade Runner for the first time last night. And I've decided to have two expectations for any science fiction film.

One. I don't want the film to have laser guns.

Two. Space travel. There simply has to have several scenes where a group of persons in a ship travel through the stars.

Alone In Tokyo

Found this on Vimeo a minute ago and thought everyone that stops here needs to view it as well. It's a perfect companion piece to my second all-time favorite film "Lost In Translation."
Enjoy.

From WENN.com

My 2 cents regarding the following news clip posted below.

I would support this if similar actions were to take place in the US of A. I would like to see less films promoting and romanticizing the use of destructive violence.

Movie Posters Banned.

Posters advertising Angelina Jolie's latest film "Wanted" have been banned in Britain for allegedly promoting violence.

The images that accompany this summer's action thriller show the Hollywood beauty lying across the bonnet of a car, grasping a gun.

The posters also show the film's other star - Scottish actor James McAvoy- with a weapon in each hand and an accompanying slogan which suggested his life is better since he became an assassin.

And now Britain's Advertising Standards Authority has banned the adverts after receiving a spate of complaints about the images.

Actor John C. Reilly dreads filming sex scenes - because he worries he will become aroused by his female co-stars.

The "Step Brothers" star insists his body responds favourably while he is in bed with an actress, despite the many distractions on set.

He says, "It's always really uncomfortable to have to swap spit with someone and rub bodies. People (actors) always say, 'In a lovemaking scene, sex is the furthest thing from your mind because you're worried about the crew and lighting'. Bulls**t!

"If you lie naked against someone of the opposite sex, things happen. The plumbing department doesn't always get in touch with the brain. It just happens!

"You're simulating sex so your body is very confused."

Riots @ RNC

The youth of America, or hopefully just in the Twin Cities, have expressed their freedom of speech..er.. freedom of violence at an anti-war, anti-politics rally/riot a few miles from my house at the RNC. I believe that was the purpose of the riots. From what I've read in the paper, and from coworkers at my Starbucks in the MOA who attend said riots. Jeesh, way to use destructive violence to voice your opinion against terrorist who use similar violence.

How is this not counter-productive. You tell me.
I cannot support anything socially that aims to divide or bring disunity among people. Wrongs have been done, and they will continue to happen and what is important to understand is not to react to these things with violence and anger.  For I see such actions as foolishness.

And I have been foolish for too long.

You & Me & Gossip Girl

Picked up the first season of Gossip Girl, and it is everything I wanted it to be.

Schwartz has done it again. And he is a pop culture god.

Also picked up the latest from The Walkmen, and is also everything I wanted it to be.

One day, I'll make a mix tape and it will consist of all the great songs Dylan never wrote, and "I Lost You" will be on there.
