Less then four days until "Lady"

In Creative Screenwriting, M. Night Shyamalan talks about his films and God.
With nothing what-so-ever to do with characters and plot lines of The Village, Lady is the second part to the story. The village being the first and dark part about people who fear the world and run. Lady is the second part where the people, instead of running, face their fears and fight. Where the village has people in a secluded section of the forest, Lady has people secluded in this apartment complex called 'The Cove". Oh and he's tired of people referring to him as "The twisted endings guy". He tried to knocked that theory out of the water with Signs, but it still remains. A part of Lady is also putting that theory away. Anticipate a great film. I have a feeling this will be the most redemptive piece of work he's done. Maybe.
I think about Radiohead. Thom Yorke had a son, and experiencing life come into the world that you're apart of changes the person. Radiohead's up-coming album is rumored to sound "happy" and "pleasant". I think this has part to do with the way Yorke feels with a new born son. The same with Night. This story was one that he read to his children at night for years, and he loves his family very much. I don't think he would make a twisted/dark story for his kids. He could do better then that, and I hope he has. I have faith in Night, as much faith as I do with the films by Robert Bresson (watch "Diary of A Country Priest").

Night is also writing the screenplay for "The Life Of Pi". But he will not be directing it, which is good.

Cool...I'm very excited about this movie! I was thinking sort of the same thing - if he wrote the story originally for kids, it can't be too twisted.
