Rainy Day and the Walker Art Center

Went to the Walker Art Center today with my wife and friends from Billings, Ryan and Amanda. This is my second visit to the Walker. The first was a few years back when they had multiple prints of Chuck Close and Andy Warhol. This visit was a little disappointing. They had one Close print, one Warhol print and a lot of modern art from the last 60 years. It didn't impress me much. However...we're ready to leave when Anna pointed me towards a wall and said, "Isn't that the guy you like"?
She was right. As far as I can tell, Walker had two new Crewdson prints. On their walls. Both breathtaking.

I couldn't find copies online, so here are some past photos by Crewdson.

(behind the scenes)

Prints by Michael Vahrenwald.

(my personal favorite: Straw Hill, Wal-Mart, Bloomsburg, PA

You know, I've never really gotten into modern art, but those pictures are very cool. Maybe I'll have to give it another try.
