We’ll Light This Night On Fire…

Fall I think is one of my favorite times of the year. I love the change that takes place. The colors that cover the dirty earth and green trees brings me to my knees. Fall is like our "last chance" to make things right. It is the last full season we have before the New Year takes place and our last chance to change the things we have been procrastinating to do since the last New Years. Time does not heal all wounds but it is on our side and we should use it. Or at least learn to use part of it. Thanksgiving will be the highlight of the year. My beautiful Anna will visit this city and we will experience our first holiday together. For one week this city will shine, the muck on the streets will no longer exist as well as the cheapness of our lives. We will live like kings and queens for a few short moments and the red carpet will be before every step we take. We will listen to records together and not be dreaming of better times because at that moment, it would be impossible. We will see the fourth Harry Potter together along with anyone who cares to join. The films coming out this November will illuminate that week all the more.

Here are my top 5 pics for November:

1. Nov 4th, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I've been a fan from the beginning and will remain faithful until the end. Mike Newell is directing this fourth part of the story and hasn't really done anything that's been impressing. I'm just wondering what happened to Alfonso Cuaron?

2. Nov 18th, Walk The Line. A film about the life of Johnny Cash played by Joaquin Phoenix. Need I say more?

3. Nov 23rd, Rent. When a good friend gets excited about something that you never heard of and is dying to see it, it will rub off on you. The director, Chris Columbus also filmed the first two Harry Potters. Rent stars Taye Diggs who I think is too good looking to be in any clothing ad (maybe). If Gap never existed and they were to join forces with JCrew, that company might create the hottest blazer that might be worthy enough for Taye in a photo shoot. wow, anyways.

4. Nov 23rd, The Ice Harvest. Harold Ramis does a pretty good job at making people laugh. He has his own touch to comedy. This particular film of his just happens to star John Cusack.

5. Nov 4th, Jarhead. I think out of all the films this fall, I am anticipating this film the most. I saw the trailer at the beginning of Lord of War and was blown away. It almost made me cry. View it here with a fast internet connection so you can watch the large version. Also, who knows the artist who sings that song? I've been trying to find out when the soundtrack will be released. No luck yet.

Oh, November is going to be a good month...

You might wanna double check your Harry Potter links though because it appears Death Cab is taking over. Try this or this. Also, it actually comes out the 18th, not the 4th, just so you know. ;-)

Ouch...yes Anna you are right. But technically, it is released Nov 12th in New York . Hmm..that is weird. I don't know why that link would be like that. I guess I was looking at the wrong page while typing.
