Anna and I went to Rescue Dawn last night. My expectations were high and I left the theater satisfied. Rescue Dawn is almost on par with Aguirre, The Wrath of God. The film is visually poetic and Herzog doesn't rely on the war to tell the story, instead, he follows creation around, documenting it's actions. It's one of the best films this year.

The camera is hand-held throughout most of the film, which makes the audience more apart of what's currently happening.

This is also one of Christian Bale's best roles played to date.
I wonder how much weight this man has had to loose for some of these parts.
Oh, and in this film, he eats a snake raw.
